About Dr. Mike S. Shin, M.D.

Dr. Mike Shin has been in private practice since 2007. Before moving to Hanford, Dr. Shin served in the United States Air Force for three years. He is double board certified in the following fields:

  • Ear Nose and Throat (American Board of Otolaryngology)
  • Facial Plastic Surgery (American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery).
Education
Dr. Shin obtained his undergraduate Chemistry degree from Johns Hopkins University, Medical Degree from University of Texas-San Antonio and completed his residency training at the University of Oklahoma. Subsequently, he served three years in the United States Air Force as the Chief of ENT Department while stationed in Scott Air Force Base, IL. Currently, he serves as Co-Chief of Surgery at Adventist Medical Center Hanford.
Philosophy
As an ENT and facial plastics specialist, Dr. Shin’s goal is to provide not only the best medical and surgical care, but also do it in an efficient manner. When you come to his office, he wants to listen to your story, diagnose the problem and then treat your problem appropriately, whether it’s medical or surgical. He believes in efficiency so that you can be seen in and out in a timely fashion. He will not recommend unnecessary surgeries and only the best treatment for your conditions will be offered. Dr. Shin believes in giving options to his patients and will often allow his patients to make the final decision for individual’s medical care after a thorough review of options. With each patient, he strives for best personable medical care that will educate and benefit the patient.
Personal
Dr. Shin has been married to Ann for 20 years and she teaches Mathematics at Lemoore High School. He is a devoted father of three children- Katherine and Elizabeth who are in college and Caleb who is in high school. Dr. Shin loves the outdoors which includes hiking/ camping in nearby mountains and beaches. He attends church at Korean Presbyterian Church of Fresno on Sundays.

In keeping with his vision statement, Kings Face and Neck Aesthetics was launched in 2019 to serve the cosmetic needs of Central Valley patients. As the only Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon in all of Hanford, Visalia and Fresno, Dr. Shin specializes in facial and neck rejuvenation that is both natural looking and cutting edge.
